City of Strange Gods, released in August 2024, is the tenth book in the Signalverse series. It's a kind of crossover featuring several protagonists from previous books: Jack from The Adventures of Jack and Miracle Girl, Ally from Champions Weekly, Raye from Sneak and the Shadow of Darkplanet, and Chance from Galatea and the Dupe are all POV characters, uniting to face a new threat. Max and the gang from Disreputable Persons return as well. It's also considerably longer than a typical Signalverse adventure -- it's nearly four hundred pages. Because there's a ton of characters to keep track of in this one, I included a dramatis personae in the appendix.
I had been toying with the idea of writing a Signalverse "crossover" for quite a few years, but I kept putting it off, because it seemed like a pretty massive undertaking. And indeed, it wound up taking about seven months to write this one. Because it was basically a sequel to five different books, it was rather tricky to write, but I think it came out okay, and the chapters featuring Jack and Lia were especially fun to play with.
